Meet the Dungeon Master
Meet my Second Life DM persona. I use this avatar while hosting games in world. Tabletop RPGs have been a big part of my life since I was 11 years old. My first D&D adventures were in Pool of Radiance and Curse of the Azure Bonds; PC games set in Forgotten Realms. My parents encouraged my sister and I as we created and played our own characters. We learned a lot about problem solving, recovering from mistakes (that may have led to a party wipe or two), and basic battle strategy.
As I got older I explored other tabletop RPGs like Rifts, Shadowrun, and Vampire: The Masquerade. However, my heart has always belonged to Dungeons & Dragons. Transitioning from player to Dungeon Master in my 20s, I have embraced the role of a "forever DM."
In 2020, I began running D&D 5e games in the virtual world of Second Life. Leveraging the platform's versatility, I create immersive experiences with video tables for maps with animated effects, dynamic soundscapes, and meticulously decorated game rooms that match the adventure's vibe. While I appreciate pre-made adventures, I often craft homebrew games enriched with campaign references and third-party content.
